Nutrition Lessons from an Olympic Athlete - With the Summer Olympics still fresh in everyone's mind and the recent coverage of some of the athletes' diets, what better time to talk to a former Olympic athlete about nutrition! Join Beth and Dr. Scott Stoll as they talk about the importance of using food as fuel, but for the "right reasons".

Scott R. Stoll, MD
Medical Director, Back and Neck Center at Coordinated Health Systems
Department Chair, Physical Medicine and Rehabilitation

Scott R. Stoll, M.D., was born and raised in La Porte , Colorado . He received a Bachelor of Science degree in nutritional sciences from Colorado State University in Fort Collins , Colorado in 1991.

As a gifted athlete he received many awards and honors. Dr. Stoll was selected to participate as a member of the 1993 World Champion Bobsled Team and as a member of the 1994 United States Olympic Bobsled Team, which competed in the Winter Games in Lillehammer , Norway . These opportunities helped shape Dr. Stoll's future interest in physical and rehabilitation medicine. As a former Olympian, Dr. Stoll was selected to be a torchbearer for the 2002 Winter Games held in Salt Lake City, Utah .

Dr. Stoll began his medical career at the University of Colorado Health Sciences Center. He completed a three-year residency at the University of Colorado , Denver in physical medicine and rehabilitation.

Dr. Stoll joined Coordinated Health Systems in 2002 as medical director of The Back and Neck Center and is the department chair of Physical Medicine and Rehabilitation. He is Board certified by the American Board of Physical and Rehabilitation Medicine.

Dr. Stoll and his wife, Kristen, reside in Saucon Valley , Pennsylvania with their three sons and one daughter.



Maria Schaller, Co-Owner of Cozy Cuisines
Maria Schaller is co-owner of Cozy Cuisines Personal Chef Service. She graduated from Bucknell University in 2001 with a degree in Chemical Engineering. After working in the engineering field for five years, she realized that her true passion was in the kitchen. She and her business partner, Jessica Reilley, formed Cozy Cuisines in 2006, so they could share their love of food with others. They focus on preparing healthy meals for busy individuals and families. They also work with several special need families with allergies, diabetes, and other health-related issues. In addition to preparing healthy meals for her clients, Maria also teaches cooking classes.

Morgan J. Arthur, Wellness Director
Morgan graduated from Holy Name High School and then from Millersville College with his major in Kinesiology. Morgan has trained and taught martial arts for 35 years. He has been employed by the Freedom Valley YMCA Assocaition for over 26 years. He is the Wellness Director for the Spring Valley Branch YMCA in Limerick, and is the founder of the special needs program at the Y as well as the MAJIC Center (Morgan Arthur Jr. Inspirational Center). Morgan resides in Limerick Township wtih his wife Terri and step-son Chaz.
