The Dirty Dozen |
What is Organic? There is a lot of talk today about organic food. Listen to Julia Greenblatt as she explains the difference between organic and natural foods. Click on the "Show Extra" icon above to get a list of the "Dirty Dozen" -- twelve types of produce you should consider buying "organic".
Beware of Hidden Ingredients - Just because the box says "all natural", does it really mean it is healthy? Many foods look healthy, but consist of many "hidden" ingredients. Tune in to hear Beth and Susan Fedoris as they discuss the importance of reading labels so you really know what types of ingredients are in the foods you buy.
Cooking with Local/Organic Food - Local and fresh just tastes better! Join Chef Mike Pezzillo as he shares ideas for cooking with local, organic foods. Visit a local farm, orchard or farmer's market to see what types of fruits and vegetables are in season!
